The NMBM Metro Police alongside the Department of Education, Department of Correctional Services and Tendy and Company (NGO) carried out an awareness campaign at St Teresa’s Primary School in Schauderville today.
About 108 Grade 5 learners had the pleasure of being spoken to about bullying at school.
Learners were advised to:
1. Speak up: Report incidents or concerns to authorities or trusted individuals.
2. Support victims: Offer empathy, understanding, and support to those affected by bullying.
3. Promote kindness and empathy: Encourage positive relationships and social interactions.
4. Get involved: Participate in anti-bullying initiatives or community programs.
The learners were encouraged to use the numbers of Metro Police control room on 041 508 5501 or 041 585 1555 for any help.
